The New York Uke Fest will be held this year at Baruch Performing Arts Center on May 29 and 30, then at the Gershwin Hotel on Sunday, May 31. There are two areas next to each other at the College, which are reserved for vendor exhibits and they are in close proximity to the performance hall. The illustration below is of the Entry Hall, which we will offer first. Later, we can expand into the a “handball court,” which is about the same size and is right next to the Entry Hall. At the foot of the stage is a door that will be opened when performances are not going on and the audience can walk through a hallway to the exhibit area. There are other routes to reach the exhibit area, which will always be accessible, even when performances are happening. The size of each exhibition space is approximately 28’x 36’. It will house quite a few exhibitors, at least 12-14 in each area.. For food vendors, we have also an entry lobby area to supplement the area near the elevator. You can see what the Engleman Recital Hall looks like on Baruch College’s web site.

The basic cost of an exhibit table (payable through Paypal) for the three days will be $250 after May 1. There is an Early Bird vendor price of $200 if payment is received by April 30. This includes the vending table, as well as a single vendors pass to workshops and/or performances. A caveat about these passes to performances. The priority for performances will be to paid ticket holders. Since Baruch is strict about maximum capacity, if we “sell out” the house with paid tickets, there will be no admission to recital hall seating with these vendors’ tickets. We believe there will still be a way to view the performances as a vendor, but in the event of a sell out, there is no guarantee. Extra tables will be $25 each, as space allows. The choice of table location will be on a “first paid, first choice” basis. The choosing can be exercised during setup on May 29, when you have a chance to see it. On Sunday for the “Luau At the Gershwin,” we have a separate room for the vendors next to the main hall. One table will be the limit at the Gershwin, since space is more restricted at the hotel.
