Talking Story #4……2012

Talking Story #4……2012

Please note the new Workshop Page! The list for Friday’s workshops is almost complete, but there are still quite a few slots to fill in the Saturday schedule. We will continue to update this page on a weekly basis. We also updated the performance schedule. we added several names of very exciting performers. Steven Strauss and Pat Enos are coming from California and two women who now live locally, i.e. Becca Stevens and Amelia Robinson. Amelia is a recent transplant from England and the Mid East, so “local” is a bit of a stretch. Becca also has a tinge of accent revealing a recent move here. We are rolling out the Welcome mats!
Our new structure is taking shape. For four days, we will be in ukulele heaven! Starting on Thursday Evening with the documentary film, Under The Boardwalk, we will congregate with uke friends for the whole weekend. Just to encourage early attendance on Friday, we are going to give away a beautiful Kala tenor uke, to someone at our Opening Ceremony, which will take place Friday, June 8 at Noon. More details will follow and we’ll post a photo of the uke on this website. There are some great workshops set for Friday afternoon, so come and take advantage.

We expect this will be our best Fest yet. A major network has contacted us and would like to feature the 2012 Fest on their nightly news show. We are happy to have them. The most exciting part of all this is the chance to reunite with our uke friends, who we will get to see at the Fest. Looking forward to June.
